Get Client ID and Client Secret with an API App

Developers need a client ID and a client secret to generate access and refresh tokens.

Generate Client ID and Secret

1. From SearchUnify admin panel, click API from the left navigation bar.
2. Under the API Clients, click Create new API Client.



3. Enter the following details and press Save.
   3.1. Name. Label the API client
   3.2. Redirect URL. Use https://oauthsfdc.searchunify.com in this field.
   3.3. Select Scope. Selecting the scope means authorizing the app to access the information from one of these four options: A) Analytics, B) Search, C) Content, D) All, and E) None.



NOTE: Select Analytics from the dropdown if you are going to use the client ID and client secret for the Analytics API. In all other cases, select either Search or Content..

4. Once the client is created, you can get its client ID and client secret under the API Clients tab.

You can click to view and copy client secret.
